5 luxury cars will arrive in 2018

For the year 2018, the manufacturers have already announced one or two delicacies in the field of the beautiful and not exactly cheap. We have the overview - put together for you.

1. Aston Martin DB11

Aston Martin renews its model range. After the introduction of the Gran Turismo DB11 in early 2017, the British will launch the convertible Volante in early 2018. The four-seater with soft top will, however, unlike the coupe not with V12 engine, but only in a V8 variant. This comes from cooperation partner Mercedes-AMG and provides 375 kW / 510 hp. The price for the DB11 Volante is 199,000 euros.

2. Audi Q8

Audi continues to expand its SUV range and bring in 2018 the next - and largest - in coupe form, the Q8. This shares the platform and top engine by the way with the new Lamborghini Urus, which also comes next year on the market. The Q8 will come up with state-of-the-art technologies for assistance and infotainment systems, and should also set standards in terms of material appearance in the interior.

3. Bentley Continental GT

After about 14 years, Bentley retires the Continental GT and finally launches the second generation. The presented at the IAA Englishman uses the bottom group of the Porsche Panamera, including new steering and dual clutch instead of automatic. There is also a chassis with three-chamber air suspension and 48-volt controllers, which adapt even faster to the driving situation and stabilize the colossus accordingly better. And above all, there is a more sophisticated twelve-cylinder, which draws from six liters of displacement now 467 kW / 635 hp and a torque of 900 Nm.

4. BMW 8 Series and M8

With the large coupe, which will replace the 6 Series, BMW wants to attack the luxury candidates of Mercedes (S-Class Coupe) and Co. The crowning achievement of the series of eight is the Munich-based M8, which will also serve as the basis for a Le Mans race car. It would be conceivable in the production vehicle, a power range of about 257 kW / 350 hp up to 478 kW / 650 hp in the top model M8.

5. BMW X7

At the IAA in September 2017, BMW already showed a relatively near-series study on the new SUV flagship X7. Particularly striking: the gigantic kidney at the front. In the big "SAV" (BMW speaks of a Sports "Activity" Vehicle), six people sit on three rows of seats. Of these, the front four seats are designed as individual seats that offer extra space. Information on engines (probably from the 7 Series) and prices (probably quite high), there is not yet.
